Disability Justice was proud to be a sponsor at the 2018 Disability Pride Parade Philadelphia. This is the seventh year that the parade has taken place in Center City. Participants gathered at the National Constitution Center on June 16th to walk over to Philadelphia City Hall and celebrate. The parade included live music, activities for kids, food trucks, and more.
Disability Pride Philadelphia advocates for the rights of people with disabilities. Their mission is to change the way that people perceive those will disabilities. They believe that having a disability is natural and is a beautiful part of human diversity that people with disabilities can take pride in.
The parade serves as a way for Disability Pride Philadelphia to share their message and help change the way society relates to people with disabilities.
